I've wanted to hunt elk for decades. Have not had the chance. I pray the Lord blesses me soon to experience it. I bought a gun just for this almost 30 years ago. I can't pull a bow back now but could use my crossbow, I'd prefer to use a gun though and I'd need help getting it out of the woods. I can still whitetail hunt and love it, but getting an elk and a mulely would be a dream come true.
The winds and the breezes whispered in my ears. The wild is calling out to me.The lust for blood and the urges to kill is too strong.I gotta go Honey! Be back in a couple weeks.🤣😂
My very first bow hunt for elk, I glassed some elk about 3 miles away and went to go hike and set up small overnight tent. It rained that night and I was wet and almost frozen because I had forgot the fuel for my tiny heater. At peeping daylight I could not stand it anymore, I had to get up and start moving. I even had to put 1 gallon freezer bags on my feet for socks. I was camped at the edge of the timber in some aspens with waist high grass, So I got my bow and started walking to toward the end of this ridge, When I got there I bugled and just like that a herd of about 10 cows popped up behind me and a bull screamed. Here they came walking right to me, As I was on my knees, watching the cows from behind this tree I heard the bull again and looked up and he was only 5 yards from me, and at the last moment I moved before he stepped on me and he bolted, but when he did, I heard and bull scream and looked to my left and there stood this very big 6x6 broadside at 30 yards. I pulled back, released and hit. He spinned around and ran in my direction and stopped at about 12 yards looking back at the 5x5 and I hit him again, He ran about 30 yards and slowly started falling sideways. All I could see was the top of one antler. My solo hunt was over within 30 minuets of putting my boots on. The bull scored 372. Trust me, there was no skill, except for shooting, the rest was all blind luck. All the elk was bedded in the high grass and could not see me and I was upwind of them and the ground was wet and silent. unfortunaly there is no way to share a picture on this post.
What backpack is that
So that's the debut of 'Keep hammering' huh? Had no idea it was actually recorded haha, cool moment and an awesome video!
Where is the whole episode? This fucking retarded under armor ad is stupid.
I used to make Tag Soup in NC. I take a bowl of chicken noodle and soak my tag in it until the plastic backing kinda falls off. Then, I'd eat the chicken flavored paper portion. It's not half bad!
Which part of utah is this?
This is prolly my favorite video of his. For way too many reasons to list.
Remi makes it look easy. I'm 50 and in great shape, that hunt would have killed me!!! I'd have to train for a year just to not die on a hunt like that.
ulan geyiği neden öldürdünüz. artık bu markadan almayacağım.
anyone know how he carries the bow on the top part of backpack like that?
Who is the outfitter?
@camhanes, you could be my "Roy Roth" . lets go!@
I got my first bow for $180 bucks and I’m practicing while I save up for a Matthews and hopefully I can get good enough practicing on hogs in Austin Tx and soon go with some of my buddies elk hunting in utah! That’s the plan/dream.
Epic!
Joe has become a good hunter 🇺🇸
Impossible not to start crying when you hear Cam choke up while he's talking.. incredibly heartbreaking. I'm so sorry Cam.. I cant imagine how hard it must be to lose such a close friend and mentor. Rest in peace Roy.. I'm sure he would be so happy to see what a huge impact he's had
Awesome episode, elk hunting is amazing and the meat is tremendous.
The simplest things in life are often the hardest to achieve, I learnt the hard way
Such glorious surroundings and noise the hunt is a bonus .
I wish I had these opportunities the USA is by far the best n only country worth living in
2:01 *"Indeed"*
Are used to have the biggest crush on her when I was younger when I used to watch this with my dad they are truly awesome people
Epic Footage.
👏
I’ve never heard anything like this. About a hundred of them. Singing through the setting sun (or was it rising?). Yo, let’s kill them. We are the super strong primals. I got that bow and arrow. Nonfuckingsense.
Why did this video have to end?
Для ходьбы по озерам нужна обувь по выше , надо делать спортивные сапоги
Love all of the U/A Products
My go to bow season video.
The couch arrived in two boxes four days early, which was great because we'd just moved into a new house and needed places to sit. My son and I put it together pretty quickly ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxitRzxya-XugamYgLwa_2G1gxPg4MCJHa . Another reviewer suggested inserting the seat into the side and I'm glad they did as the instructions weren't clear on that matter. It's incredibly light and slides easily across the wood floor, making it easy to move. It's firm, but comfortable. It will even be great to nap on. I got the gray, which definitely has strong blue undertones, but I'm okay with that.
Bucket list hunt!!! Even living here in colorado.
This man is amazing....we are about the same age and a fire was light after watching these videos and Goggins many months ago....since both my wife and I have started running and lifting again but with a different intensity than ever before.....after seeing the Lift, Run , Shoot I started something I call Lift, Run, Horse...we live on a small cattle and horse farm and we both work so my passion for the outdoors and horses burns about as much as Mr Hanes passion to shoot ...so I began going on journeys horseback and then tieing the horses up and running a few miles in the woods are pasture are wherever ...still working out the kinks but there is Something about getting away and working out in nature....thanks Sir you are a blessing ....
I would encourage you to go to a real bow and arrow. Right now, I'm setting up a Bear Super Kodiak- brace height and nocking point on the string.
I think we've all heard enough of the traditional bow elitism BS.
I wonder if that lady knows she shares a break room with one of the biggest bad a**es that ever lived?
God bless you and Tiffany. I had no idea how hard you've worked. I thought you were born onto a big farm.
Anyone find it funny the bull got set up by the cow he went chasing… there’s gotta be a metaphor in there 😂😂😂
Their chemistry is amazing.
Elk hunting is so amazing. I saw Cameron Haines picture on the deseret land and livestock webpage. Hell you can't throw a stick and hit a 300 inch bull there
A perfect example of what America is all about. If you can dream it and you want then by Jesus you can go get it. Question is….. are you willing to pay the price ? Lee and Tiffany did just that. Thanks for all you do and the education you provide to hunters around the world. Man, what a life !!!!!!
Wish there was still good elk in utah
There is.
I gotta know, are they taking the piss or is this actually where “keep hammering” was born?
The shots where they are hiking and you can see the elk in the background and there’s snow falling. Man,it stirs something in my soul.
Awesome
Definitely as good as it gets. Reminds me of mt in the 80s. Miss those days. That kind of area will change someone’s life. That’s 💯

No need to whisper talk when you’ve already shot.
No firearms??
